On 1 August 2026, inExTerra inc proudly presented Colours of Ipswich – A Multicultural Unity Festival, bringing over 7000 people together for a vibrant celebration of culture, creativity, diversity and community.

Held at Tulmur Place and the Nicholas Precinct in Ipswich, the festival was created around a simple but powerful idea: our differences can bring us together.

Across one memorable day, people of different cultures, backgrounds, generations and experiences gathered to share music, dance, art, food, stories and traditions, creating a welcoming space where everyone could participate, discover something new and experience the strength of community.

A Celebration of Diversity

Multiculturalism is one of the great strengths of contemporary Australian society. Our communities are enriched by the many cultures, languages, traditions, histories and perspectives that people bring with them.

Colours of Ipswich was an opportunity to celebrate that richness openly and proudly.

The festival created a space where cultural communities could share their identity while inviting the wider community to participate. Traditional and contemporary performances, cultural presentations, music, dance, creative expression and community activities transformed the precinct into a celebration of the many cultures that contribute to the life of Ipswich.
